Referer Spam

This is a growing problem and could cause a real problem for U Linker and other Serendipitous Web Linking Tools as you can spoof the referers, icnlduing links from Google, - this kind of thing could kill Serendipitous Web ideas dead if not dealt with.

Thankfully, due to my control freak nature, I am already blocking out domains (esp. search engines) so it should be no problem to just add spammers to this list. I hope to fiddle with the blocking list so it is in a flat file - I believe the PHP file() function will load the contents into an Array.

I am now keeping a list in the forum.

A new developments is that a number of blogs are using something similar - see the blog comment for more details. I'll be adding these to my list as well.
