John Ash

My uncle is a poet and writer.

A reasonable little bio:

quote:
John Ash was born in Manchester, England in 1948. He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1969, lived in Cyprus 1969-1970 and in Manchester during 1970-1985. He moved to New York in 1985 and taught at the University of Iowa and University of California - Berkeley. He has been living in Istanbul since 1996 and teaches at Bosphorus University. His most recent books include Disbelief (1987), The Burnt Pages (1991), A Byzantine Journey (1995), and Selected Poems (1996). An earlier edition of The Anatolikon was published in a bilingual Turkish/English edition in Istanbul in 1999. His poetry has appeared in many publications including the New Yorker, the New York Times, the Village Voice, Paris Review and Cornucopia.
